Snow/Ice Sculpture
Rules and Regulations

  • All sculptures must be free standing.

  • All sculptures must be 100% Snow/Ice.

  • The use of color dye is prohibited.

  • Minimum Height/Width of sculpture is 6 feet.

  • Maximum Height of sculpture is 12 feet.

  • Sculptures must be frozen at time of judging. (If you add water to your snow, be sure it has sufficient time to freeze prior to judging.)

  • Importation of ice and snow is allowed, however, all sculpting/carving must be done on site.

  • Each registered person will have an assigned place to build and exhibit their sculptures. (If you need special accommodations due to a disability or importation of snow or ice, please let us know in advance.)

  • The winning check will be administered at 6 p.m. January 15, 2012. By no means will the check be administered later than five (5) business days after the event.

  • Please bring whatever tools you feel you will need.

  • Water is only available by drilling a hole in the ice to access the lake water.

  • Staff will be available all day, everyday, to help assist in your needs.

  • There is no limit on when you need to start sculpting.
